Roar on the Moor is the first in The Adventures of Wildwell Hollow children's book series. This beautifully illustrated book follows best friends, Tilly Fairy & Bodkin Jack, high above Whispering Wood, tracking the 'ROOOOAAR' that is coming from Monarch Moor, where the King of Stags is strutting his stuff during the yearly rutting season.
The Adventures of Wildwell Hollow take children on adventures in Whispering Wood, Selkies Lake and Monarch Moor, exploring, discovering and being amazed by the wonder of nature.
Each book has a fact file, enabling children to learn more about the wildlife featured in the story. A nature based activity, that helps children notice nature and enjoy being a part of it, is written into the story.
The two lovable characters respect nature and want to learn from it, to be better fairies and bodkins by absorbing nature's wisdom. As Tilly Fairy & Bodkin Jack explain, "Bodkins and fairies need nature, and nature needs us, it's simple!"
